Waver (Behind Closed Doors) Review

 

A hentai anime with a name that makes no sense (that is why it was renamed in the poster above) and unnecessary plot twists that distract from sexual action. 

To begin with story in a pornography is unnecessary distraction. People watch it for sexual action and do not want it to be distracted by a sudden giant shark, to quote a certain movie director from GTA Vice City. There are no giant sharks here, but sexual action gets suddenly interrupted by all sorts of random events. It's worse than other porn with story, like Himekishi Lilia or Yume Kui because in these two shows sex scenes at least go to their conclusion uninterrupted before they move to a non-sex scene.

Plot is about couple who get invited into strange mansion but later get separated. He searches for her with a gun while occasionally dominating and fucking various denizens of the mansion. At the same time girl he is searching for is being dominated by mansion masters.

Unfortunately plot scenes do take away time from actual sexual action. This show has 3 episodes while average hentai only has 2, but all that extra screen time is used on plot.

Sex scenes themselves are not too bad. They are the reason if it's worth watching this at all. They have nice variety and reasonably cruel without going into insane territory of Bondage Game or Pidgeon Blood.

Female actors do not make for good BDSM slaves though, they are not as bad as in Oshirete:Re, but certainly leave to be desired. I would not want a femsubs that are so willful and unpredictable.

Animation quality and art leave to be desired. It's not the worst I have seen, but certainly below average.

Overall, it's not too bad and worth the watch.

Love es M The Animation

 

Love es M is rather underrated but a very good show. 

It has only two heroines and one master, but heroines here are very good. They are willing to do anything to please their master. They are what every BDSM slave should be. This show has by far best slaves in hentai.

Sex scenes are nice too, but somewhat too poorly animated. It's like they were short on budget or time and could not animate enough action.

Picture quality is good. I like the BDSM gear design of the glasses girl. It's clear that is not that creators could not draw property, certain scenes are picture perfect.

I personal find male protagonist relatable enough. He treats them like I would treat them.

Also, while they do not have maid outfits, they have pleated skirts that I also like.

Overall, this is a very good show, and I can certainly recommend watching it. 

Oshiete Re: Maid Review

 

This is a good example of how not to make hentai.

To begin with its guilty of false advertisement. Girls on picture look very cute and maid like. Reality is different.

Second is sex itself. Not only there are too few sex scenes. Those that are there are rather bad.

Finally, and most importantly, it gets relationship dynamics wrong. Despite the name, maids here hardly learn anything. The do not behave like maids either. They do not serve the master but rather use him for personal pleasure. They do not respect him either. Protagonist of this show does not please himself with his subordinates but rather herds them and solves their problems. That is not how a proper relationship between master and his slaves are.

Finally, there is hardly any BDSM in this show. There is only one scene of femdom, and I always hate femdom. Femdom has no place in relationship.

Overall, I do not recommend this show. Skip it for a better one.

Maid no Yakata: Zetsubou-hen Review

 

Maid service is a good hentai that combines two of my favorite things together: maids and BDSM. 

The series have a good relationship dynamic. One male master and many female slaves. He is not excessively cruel towards them, but he clearly uses them for his own pleasure and amusement and demands that they submit to him unquestionably and endure whatever he wants no matter how unpleasant it is for them. Dynamics wise can be compared to Bondage Game or Pidgeon Blood but there are no weird body mutilations and such, which is rather good thing.

Girls here are not as obedient as in Love es M, but they fear their master sufficiently enough to bow down and take it the way he sees fit. I also like it how other maids often looked scared when they look what their master does to their colleague, he is currently playing with.

Master himself is rather relatable to me, though I surely have more class and refine than him, but I am no less demanding.

On the negative side is quality of animation, it leaves to be desired. Art is aslo lacking, girls are hardly picture perfect. Also, finale where master was killed by a jealous maid is unpleasant.

However, quality of idea somewhat compensated for that. After all you would rather watch a poorly animated thing that shows what you want, then a perfectly animated video that shows something you dislike. 

Overall, I can recommend this hentai anime. It shows BDSM dynamics right.
